CAT - Public Health Care
To get a CAT card, you need a social security number (it shows on your contract - you do get a TARJETA DE AFILIACION when you start working in Spain - call 93.259.41.00 if you need to find out where to get a copy of it). Then you need to find out what the medical center assigned to your address is (tel. 902 111 444). Go there with your Tarjeta de Afiliacion and your Empadronamiento and they will assign you a doctor and give you a TARJETA SANITARIA PROVISIONAL. Within a few weeks, you should receive your original card.

Jazz Festival
The Association of Jazz and Modern Musicians of Catalunya is sponsoring a Jazz Festival
L'Hora del Jazz Festival - Tete Montoliu Memorial
The Festival is a sample of the jazz and modern music that is currently being created and played in Catalonia. The objective of the Festival is to extend the scope of our music to an audience not usually found in live music venues. More than six thousand spectators have attended the Festival.
The activity consists of two parts: L'Hora de Jazz de día (daytime festival): Free morning concerts in the Plaza Rius i Taulet in Gracia. Two concerts every Sunday in September at 12 and 1pm.
L'Hora de Jazz de noche (night festival): Concerts throughout the month of September in live music venues in Barcelona as well as in different cities and towns around Catalonia.
The Forum ends Sept 26.
